Position Overview:
This position provides direction for the technical support team and mentors team members on new products, technical processes, problem analysis and resolution. Runs the "day to day" tactical operations of the various support channels. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure as required. Ensures that the system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to the organizations values. Responsible for security and integrity of all information and communication systems.

Essential Functions:

* Communicates business expectations and goals to the team and is responsible for team results.
* Promotes a positive work environment that leverages the talents and abilities of team members in achieving organizational and team goals.
* Determines performance standards and development plans and effectively communicates them to team members.
* Monitors, assesses and motivates performance against standards and goals.
* Drives continuous process improvement within the team, developing best practices.
* Recognizes and troubleshoots problems with hardware and applications software.
* Contributes to and maintains system standards, operation and configuration procedures.
* Ensures high degree of client satisfaction while balancing needs and interests of the organization.
* Works with clients and vendors to resolve issues by identifying recurring problems, devising solutions and implementing corrective action.
* Acts as a technical escalation point for team members and advises management of situations/issues that may require additional support/escalation.
* Establishes and documents standards and procedures.
* Develops and maintains installation and configuration of procedures.
* Researches and recommends innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administrative tasks.
* Helps smooth the transition of projects from development team to production team by performing operations activities within the project life-cycle.
* Assists project teams with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases and provides support of operations team in executing, testing and rolling out the solutions.

Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Associate"s degree in computer science, business administration, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
* 5+ years of information technology experience.
* Two or more years of supervisory experience required.
* Advanced knowledge of network operating systems, data and voice communications, and desktop operating systems.
* Ability to translate highly technical information into non-technical terms.
* Advanced organizational, interpersonal, decision and oral and written communication skills.
* Advanced leadership skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Prior experience in managing an information service project team.
* Demonstrated leadership and planning skills.
* Ability to take initiative, work independently or as part of a team, and complete projects without detailed instructions.
* Good analytical skills.
* Sound decision making skills.
* Ability to travel and work extended hours.
