This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% and is based out of the St. Paul, MN or Normal, IL office locations.
The contributions you will make:
This position is responsible for an individual portfolio of special credit accounts, gathering and analyzing credit information on assigned loan portfolio and for providing economic analysis of alternatives for collection. The incumbent negotiates and implements large complex loan restructures, workout agreements, and loan liquidations. Provides analysis and approvals for PPF's loan program, which are traditionally underwritten loans. Has the ability to combine agricultural and business knowledge with an understanding of each client's current financial position in order to provide a practicable underwriting and/or resolution for all parties involved. Works with various size loans and diverse commodities across the country. This position will also provide underwriting and approval of dealer recourse limits. Serves as a mentor to less experienced team members.
A typical day:
Individual Risk Asset Portfolio
- Works with clients and other lenders to collect, document, and compile accurate financial information sufficient to analyze high risk loan accounts.
- Identifies effective servicing alternatives to minimize PPF's loan losses.
- Maintains up-to-date service plans.
- Determines negotiating parameters and formulates strategy.
- Represents PPF at mediations and other litigation as directed.
- Manages all internal documentation, databases, reporting, and follow-through action for own portfolio.
- Works directly with either Program Credit Manager or directly with farmer clients to develop a plan to cure loan delinquencies.
- Provides timely feedback to Manager of Credit and Risk or PPF SLT regarding overall program performance for their assigned Risk Asset programs.
Credit Underwriting
- Creates accurate financial analysis for complex relationships by utilizing various software applications and other related systems.
- Qualifies and validates financial information utilized in the credit decision making process.
- Completes accrual earning reconciliation as needed.
- Remains updated on the industries serviced by the assigned programs and/or business unit.
- Completes industry specific research to validate key cash flow projections.
- Works closely with relationship management team/field team members to complete financial counseling with key clients.
Reporting and Monitoring
- Provides reports, as requested by the Manager of Credit and Risk, which may include status reports for management and /or the Board of Directors.
- Monitors the loan performance for the organization and provides direction for loan classification.
- Works with Program Credit Managers on continually updated best practices for program loan underwriting and collections.
- Monitors database exception reports to ensure proper financial, collateral, and loan classifications are accurate.
- Monitors utilization of LO/CRM and provides ongoing counseling of its use.
- Serves as a resources/mentor for team members in trending and understanding financial information and entry of this information into the lending systems.
Client Service
- Provides prompt turn around on credit and servicing requests, such as loan extension requests.
- Communicates the status of loans in process with internal credit, relationship management, and operations to insure coordination between external clients and ProPartners.
- Supports all ProPartners goals and achievement of market share growth.
The skills and experience we prefer you have:
- Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Advanced-level experience in credit underwriting or loan collection experience. Experience in bankruptcy collections and litigation preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of farm business management, finance, and macroeconomics is required.
- Ability to analyze complex multiple business structures and bankruptcy situations.
- Advanced knowledge of credit processing and servicing activities, credit analysis procedures and credit administration.
- Advanced knowledge of ProPartners loan products, services, and credit operations.
- Proved decision making, negotiating and influencing skills.
- Strong commitment to service quality.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, problem solving, analytical, and negotiating skills.
- Effective team building and team processing skills.
- Computer skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and various computer business/financial applications.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.
Base Pay
$82,400—$124,500 USD
