Summary

The Finance Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for driving operational excellence by enabling our finance shared service teams to continuously enhance processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and deliver lasting value to both customers and stakeholders. A critical aspect of this role includes facilitating portfolio management to ensure strategic alignment, optimizing resource allocation, and driving timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement projects with medium risk and complexity. Determine scope, budget, timeframes, develop the strategy for project execution, form teams, assign tasks, manage resources and issues.
  • Optimize enterprise performance by partnering with business leaders across the finance organization to define direction and implement changes to become best in class.
  • Manage the portfolio of improvement efforts including intake, prioritization, progress tracking, and communication.
  • Drive the Lean Continuous Improvement process improvement culture across the enterprise, train, coach and mentor the Lean mindset, skillset and toolset.
  • Provide mentoring and leadership to ensure a common language and approach to problem solving. Develop and lead the Enterprise Lean training programs.
  • Identify critical success factors, metrics and KPIs, and develop/establish and track reporting metrics to identify future changes required to drive improvement.
  • Solve unique problems that have broad impact on the enterprise.
  • Up to 10% travel for meetings and training.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.


Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement (Identifying Waste, Improving Processes, Using A3’s)


Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in a finance shared service function (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Grain Settlements)
  • Highly self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently and take initiative without direct supervision
  • Strong organization and planning skills, including the ability to direct and prioritize multiple complex projects to completion within deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and facilitate collaboration across business departments and functions to deliver desired program outcomes
  • Basic understanding of root cause analysis and process improvement concepts, methods, and techniques
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability in change management in support of projects and transformation efforts
  • Strong written, verbal, communication skills

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
