Summary

CHShas an exciting summer internship opportunity for a Marketing Intern to work within our Marketing Department. This role will support marketing efforts for our Agronomy team within CHS. This internship is designed to provide diverse, hands-on experience within the marketing field as part of the nation’s largest cooperative.

The intern will serve as a valued member of the Agronomy Marketing team, participating in and/or leading a variety of projects in the following categories: advertising, product marketing, campaign coordination, program management, picture and video content, blog content and content publishing. You must be creative, detail-oriented and eager to learn with excellent communications skills and ability to handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of digital marketing and content initiatives, including blogs, newsletters, websites and social media, using established templates, workflows and approval processes.
  • Write, edit and format content for online and print channels, including product focused blog posts and educational materials.
  • Assist with social media management, including content planning, scheduling, and publishing of approved posts.
  • Provide campaign support, including content development, asset coordination, ad posting and performance monitoring during peak periods under supervision.
  • Support bi weekly newsletter assembly and coordinate routing for proofreading and approvals.
  • Assist with content program support, including blog intake, publishing, training program coordination and miscellaneous project support.
  • Support routine website maintenance for Agronomy digital properties, as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects, including meeting preparation, project coordination, and execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing, product and cross functional teams; support engagement with external vendors and agency partners as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing project coordination and process improvement efforts.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture by following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations; identify and communicate workplace hazards and seek assistance in correcting unsafe conditions.


Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Leadership, Business, Agricultural Communications, or another related degree area.
  • Experience working with student organizations, marketing and/or communications.
  • Strong written communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Interest in marketing, digital content and social media.
  • Physical requirements: ability to travel and work in a hybrid schedule.


Additional Qualifications

  • Background or course work in agronomy or agriculture.
  • Prior internship or work experience.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Basic experience with content management systems, email marketing platforms or social media tools.


CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
