Summary

We are hiring a Analytical Development Lab Assistant Intern in Randolph, MN for Spring 2026! This intern will work directly with our product development chemist in the development of new formulations, testing product efficacy, and analyzing lab results to support the creation of innovative and high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all laboratory and greenhouse safety protocols, ensuring a safe environment for yourself and others.
  • Assist with experiments and research under the supervision of lab staff.
  • Prepare lab materials, including equipment setup and sample preparation.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures, data, and results.
  • Monitor and maintain lab equipment, performing routine checks.
  • Support data analysis and interpretation using appropriate tools.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized lab, including proper waste disposal.
  • Assist with inventory management, including tracking and ordering supplies.
  • Contribute to reports or summaries of experimental findings.
  • Safely work independently and handle agricultural materials appropriately.
  • Sterilize equipment and store materials securely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Currently enrolled in Agronomy, Animal Science, Horticulture, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Physics, Physical Science, or related field degree program.


Additional Qualifications

  • Desire to learn, adjust and find solutions to problems.


  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


  • Ability to utilize office tools (phone, fax, computer) Microsoft Office products.


  • Strong computer skills needed.


CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
