The Business Services Associate at CFO works with the CFO team, farmers and stakeholders to provide technical and administrative support from our corporate office located in Guelph.
The role requires agile thinking, proven problem-solving, and a keen ability to prioritize. The role will work collaboratively with all CFO functional groups, and a desire to comprehensively learn about the broiler industry and the Ontario agriculture sector is desirable.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Farmer and Stakeholder Support
- By phone, email and in-person conversation, you will provide administrative support and customer service to farmers and stakeholders, assisting them to conduct their chicken business
- Working with the CFO Communications team, you will disseminate CFO information and industry updates, and provide in-person support as required
- In collaboration with technical staff, you will establish goals and objectives for system improvements and upgrades
- You will act as a liaison with the various CFO departments to resolve farmer and stakeholder issues
Assist with Corporate Projects
- Assist with various strategic projects outlined by the Strategic Plan at the direction of the Manager, Customer Relations
Front Line Staffing
- Provide front line / Tier 1 support to a wide range of stakeholders that contact CFO’s head office on the main reception line
- Aid in the rollout of the updated farmer portal, pulling reports and monitoring coverage as necessary
- Provide support for specific farmer segments as necessary, facilitating their business needs
- Support the administration of the CFO Cares Farmers to Food Banks program
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- College Diploma or Degree in Office Business Administration, Agriculture or Commerce
Experience
- 3 - 4 years’ experience in customer service, program support, customer relationship management, administration, and project support
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite
- Data entry/program monitoring
- Project management ticketing system
- Customer relationship management database experience
- Multiline telephone systems such as RingCentral
Competencies/Knowledge
- Customer-focused service and support with an ability to understand customer needs
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate across various channels – phone, email, chat functions
- Problem-solver who takes initiative and enjoys interacting with others
- Ability to balance multiple priorities within deadlines
- Willingness to learn more about various computer systems and the chicken sector in general
- Develop and maintain working relationships in a cross-functional environment
- Experience and/or understanding of the agricultural sector an asset
- Bilingual in English/French would be an asset
