Program Marketing Manager


Job Summary:

The Program Marketing Manager is the lead internal consultant and resource for program and product stakeholders on marketing strategy and tactics. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to define strategic marketing objectives, develop plans to achieve objectives, executes campaigns, and ensures that outcomes are clearly measured. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position ensures that marketing campaigns meet the strategic objectives of the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) and the Center for Growing Talent (CGT).


What You ll Do:

Lead the development of marketing plans for assigned programs within the PMA and CGT organizations, including close coordination with stakeholders. Work closely with project leads to define marketing strategy and plans which align to audience personae, project objective, organizational strategy, and brand identity. (40%)

Manage marketing project operations, including scheduling, budget, internal resources, and external vendors, as needed, to ensure that projects are executed as scheduled and within budget. (30%)

Identify and evaluate new channels or tactics to achieve marketing objectives, including new external resources, new media partners, emerging technologies, and/or new content strategies, with the support of the Director of Marketing. (10%)

Provide budget recommendations and timely updates to the Director of Marketing and the budget coordinator. (10%)

Collaborate with stakeholders within the Communications group and throughout the organization to ensure alignment in messaging strategy between membership, sales, communications, marketing, and creative services groups. (5%)

Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Marketing. (5%)


What You ll Need:

Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, business or a related discipline, with 5 or more years of related business experience, including a demonstrated history of developing marketing programs or campaigns resulting in measurable outcomes. Knowledge of and aptitude in digital marketing, including email, web, social media and associated advertising. Knowledge of website content management systems. Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal). Proven competence in marketing project scoping, implementation, and measurement. Aptitude in Office suite including Powerpoint, Word, Excel, and Sharepoint. Spoken and written fluency in a language in addition to English is a plus.


Travel Required:

2-3 trips per year, including possible international travel.
