Marketing Content Editor

 

Job Summary:

The Marketing Content Editor is responsible for the development of compelling marketing content that highlights the work of the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) and Center for Growing Talent (CGT). This position reports to the Director of Marketing and works closely with all marketing staff and stakeholders throughout the organization to produce a wide variety of marketing content for distribution in print, on the web, and other delivery formats. This role is responsible for ensuring marketing content adheres to brand standards and is aligned with marketing campaign and organizational strategic objectives.

What You ll Do:

In close coordination with marketing colleagues, identify opportunities to tell stories that support marketing campaign and organizational objectives. Interview staff, members, industry experts, and other stakeholders. Write clear and effective copy for use in a variety of marketing communications, including email, events, advertisements, white papers, case studies, video scripts, social media, and other formats as needed. (50%)

Act as an editorial resource for the marketing department, editing marketing content to ensure consistency of voice and tone in marketing communications. Proofread and check content for accuracy and assist as appropriate. (20%)

Create email communications in coordination with marketing department colleagues. Deploy tests, identify and correct errors before emails are deployed. (15%)

Manage workflows and project schedules to ensure marketing content is prepared and delivered in alignment with marketing campaign and other production needs. (10%)

Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Marketing. (5%)

 

What You ll Need:

Undergraduate degree in Journalism, English, Psychology, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline, with 3 or more years writing and editing experience. Demonstrated ability to write and edit content for a professional audience. Excellent interpersonal skills and superior writing and editing skills. Ability to prioritize work in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Aptitude in Office suite including Powerpoint, Word, Excel, and Sharepoint. Spoken and written fluency in a language in addition to English is a plus.
