Position Purpose

This position will treat, evaluate, and assess employees work related injuries and illnesses.  Primary responsibilities include triage and treatment of employees with work related and personal injuries/ illnesses, OSHA record keeping, hearing conservation, CPR program support and instruction, and other duties as assigned.  This position will promote the health, safety and well-being of all staff working in Springdale, AR.

Principal Accountabilities:

30% - Evaluate/assess employee problems/concerns and determine a medical treatment plan to ensure quality medical care

 30% - Maintain employee records to facilitate OSHA, and Worker's Compensation record keeping according to established policies and procedures to ensure location compliance

 10% - Be a liason between health professionals, employees and other management personnel at the facility

 20% - Ensure the professional standards of nursing are maintained and confidentiality of medical data is protected.
 10% - Administer all other responsibilities/duties as delegated/assigned are completed timely and accurately.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of accredited Nursing Program
Current Active license to practice nursing in Arkansas
Very Team Oriented
Candidate must be sensitive to the needs of a multicultural/multilingual environment
Ability to work 1st shift hours and occasional weekends and occasional on call time
Ability to work in continuously changing environment and multi-task
Skills (applied knowledge and technical skills directly related to this position)
Able to utilize established practice guidelines and procedures as directives to perform position accountabilities.
Able to use independent thinking with nursing knowledge and legal limitations to make appropriate decisions and recommendations.
Able to utilize established protocols and policies to make autonomous medical decisions.
Able to prioritize and establish treatment plans and goals for employee care. 
Demonstrate strong computer/technical skills and capabilities (e.g. Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications: 

Background in Emergency, Orthopedics, surgery, and /or case management preferred
Bilingual in Spanish (ability to read, write, and speak)
2- or 4-year degree or Diploma in Nursing  (Register Nurse - RN)
1+ years of  experience in Occupational Health Nursing 
Knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping regulations and/or state Workers' Compensation regulations
CPR/First Aid certification
