This position is in Cargill's animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.

Job Purpose and Impact

We're looking for a strategic and execution-focused Shopper Marketing Lead to join our animal nutrition business. This individual will drive customer-specific marketing initiatives across key retail partners, including large ag retailers and other channels. The role will be instrumental in launching new products, building tailored marketing plans, and activating national promotions and marketing campaigns at the customer level.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute shopper marketing plans tailored to key retail partners that drive branded growth.
  • Align with Commercial, Product Line portfolio, MarComm, and Category teams to ensure cohesive messaging and execution.
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy for new product introductions at the customer level.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution in-store and online driving for share growth, customer profitability, and brand and portfolio growth.
  • Partner with category management and sales to facilitate category review process and influence shelf placement and promotional support leveraging shopper insights
  • Own the execution of national campaigns and promotions within assigned accounts as well as build recommendation for trade plans at assigned accounts
  • Serve as the key bridge between sales, species and brand marketing, insights, and external agencies.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and performance metrics for all shopper marketing initiatives including Retail Media Network


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of six years of experience in shopper marketing, customer marketing, or retail marketing
  • Proven success launching products and executing marketing plans at retail
  • Experience working with large ag retailers, grocery, or mass retail accounts preferred
  • Strong understanding of category management, shopper insights, and retail media networks
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in syndicated data tools (Numerator, Yipit etc.)


External Applicant Information

The expected salary for this position is $131,000 to $170,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal. At Cargill we put people first.
