Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Transportation and Logistics Coordinator will evaluate complex and varied distribution and transportation operations, data and facilities to identify the most effective distribution and transportation patterns for products. In this role, you will conduct data management, reporting and analysis, shipping, client interaction, business partnership and people, resource, budget and project management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform data entry updates using spreadsheets and databases based on sales orders and contracts, analyze data, collect and translate implications and present findings to senior team members.
  • Plan, control and implement processes related to materials and finished goods storage and movement.
  • Analyze and project transportation costs and coordinate customs clearances and permits.
  • Evaluate, select and foster continuous relationships with external transport providers.
  • Use significant knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry to make recommendations to establish good customer relations. .
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge in the following systems: XLGO/AS400, SAP TM, GT NEXUS/INFOR NEXUS
  • Knowledge of Imports and Exports
