Job Purpose and Impact
The Generalist Process Operator, will perform a variety of responsibilities within the production facility assigned area, including operating mechanical machinery and equipment, performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting basic issues following established policies and procedures and frequent guidance. In this role, you will be assigned different work areas as needed to ensure production goals are met, support production of quality product and maximize throughput while following all safety and regulatory polices.

Job Type: Full Time, Shift(s) Available: M to F 6:30 am-2:30pm. Compensation: $27/hr
Key Accountabilities
Operate equipment and technology tools in assigned area of the production facility, learning and utilizing basic understanding of policies and procedures to perform foundational, clearly defined processes.
Perform variety of responsibilities in identified area that may include loading and unloading bulk materials, packaging, terminal operations, mixing, monitoring computerized control systems and making infrequent basic machine adjustments.
Learns operating procedures, receives input from peers and may provide feedback on clarity and effectiveness of guidance, including procedure documentation.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoots assigned equipment and processes, collaborating with the team to resolve.
Record production and inventory activities in computerized systems.
Operate mobile powered equipment (i e Forklift, Skid Loader, Sit Down Floor Sweeper, Front End Loader).
Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures, maintain a safe and clean work environment and control work pace and progress on assigned equipment or processes, requiring awareness of links with other process areas.

Qualifications
Eligible to work in the Canada
Be 18 years or older
Possess a valid, full Canadian Driver's License in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment.
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Basic computer skills
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice
What Will Put You Ahead:
• Demonstrate experience in 1 or 2 maintenance trades and components (ex. electrical, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems)
• Have forklift experience
• Have experience using a inventory system, Microsoft office software
• Have experience working in a production or plant environment
