A typical Work Day May Include:
Operate and monitor milling equipment to meet quality standards for fineness, viscosity, and density.
Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on degerminators, sifters/reels, filters, hammermills, spouting, and valves.
Manage tempering and flaking grit production; handle feed bins and finished products.
Conduct regular rounds to ensure mill balance and clear equipment blockages.
Perform analytical tests for granulation, viscosity, color, and moisture; adjust equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate production records and report issues to the Production Supervisor.
Follow Cargill safety and food safety policies; follow oral and written instructions.
Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties.
Report any abnormalities to supervisor.
Other tasks as assigned.
What You Will Need:
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.,with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing,crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Basic use of computer
High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Basic mechanical aptitude
What Will Put You Ahead:
Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, etc.
Prior experience in production-related work
Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
Manufacturing or machinery experience
