The Data & Analytics Lead will develop and execute the data & analytics capability for Cargill Salt. This will include partnering with business, function, and enterprise teams to identify high priority areas where insights will drive unique value for Salt.
This position will be accountable to: develop and drive an end-to-end data and analytics strategy and roadmap for Salt, including the business case and "practical" first steps for execution; set and execute governance and utilization of data as an asset; create the bridge between data, technology and the business to capture value and drive revenue.; lead a cultural change in which data is viewed as a business asset and not a cost.

40% Strategy Execution and Thought Leadership:
Define and execute the strategy, roadmap, plan, and processes to build data and analytics capability. Align key stakeholders with and champion the data & analytics strategic initiatives. Establish and implement data and analytics technology strategies in alignment with Cargill technology framework. Work closely with management, commercial, and operational teams to prioritize business and information needs. Shape and inform the skills, talent, and organization required for maturing data and analytics for the business. Be analytics thought leader to our customers, suppliers, consumers, and employees.
35% Data & Analytics Execution and Governance
Establish and stand up the organization and integrated operating model for effective data and analytics management across Salt group in alignment with enterprise and corporate partners. Establish data and analytics asset ownership and clear source of truth. Build a data management capability including formulating techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data. Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data access, data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects. Build and scale key skills and competencies. Identify, build, and implement opportunities for efficiency and optimization of reporting and analytics.
25% Innovation and Change Leadership
Drive a data driven decision culture and maturity towards advanced analytics and insights. Enable new ways to deliver value through data and analytics including but not limited to establishing a vision for a consolidated view of data leveraging big data capabilities. Increase the adoption and mature the use of data and analytics tools, technologies, and concepts. Develop a team to enforce data standards and analytic tool adoption across the organization. Support and enable Digitalization opportunities.
Skills: Education, Experience, Skills
Bachelor's degree in; IT/MIS, Accounting, Economics or Statistics 8 years of business experience. 3 years of proven experience as a data and analytics manager / lead. Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (Collection, Analysis, Distribution, etc.) Proficient with low code / productivity and reporting solutions (Power BI, Tableau, BI/Webi, MS Excel, etc.). Working knowledge of Information and data architecture and engineering concepts. Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies. ERP, CRM, Supply Chain, and e-Commerce / Digital business experience (as a user or implementation project team member). Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and identify data patterns, trends and risks. Demonstrated behaviors of a curious, logical thinker. Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix model and to influence without direct authority. Demonstrated ability to coach and train others. Demonstrated strong analytical skills and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to break down complex issues.
