On April 6th AgCareers.com will host a virtual career fair specifically for the Skill & Trade population. Employers across the US will highlight available roles so that job seekers can learn more about the opportunities and the companies hiring.
The Feed Your Future virtual career fairs are a campaign that AgCareers.com created to help feed the pipeline of talent in agriculture and food. Shortage of candidates in the industry is a challenge we all see, and we hope to aid in creating traction for our employers and connect them to job seekers in their specific region or sector.
Currently, Service Technician and Custom Applicator are two of our top three highest trending jobs. Other top trending roles include:
Employers report hourly/non-exempt and technical roles are still the most difficult role to recruit.
The need for candidates that either have the skills or are willing to be trained on the skills needed to fill these roles, is extensive. Large amounts of the baby boomer generation are retiring, leaving our younger generations with vast opportunities in trades. Community colleges, technical colleges and trade schools are also available for certifications and licensures needed. Often the cost for an associate degree or certificate is much lower than bachelor’s degrees, takes less time to complete, and allows students to gain practical and useful skills. Many companies are hiring with no experience or degree needed. They offer on the job training for these skill and trade positions!
Come find your dream Skill & Trade Job on AgCareers.com & at our #FeedYourFuture Virtual Career Fair on April 6th.
