CARDINAL ETHANOL IN COLWICH, KS IS HIRING A PLANT ENGINEER!

The Plant Engineer will support and improve ethanol production processes, equipment reliability, and overall plant efficiency. This role involves monitoring and optimizing various production parameters, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The engineer will collaborate closely with operations teams, maintenance personnel, and management to enhance plant performance, safety, and environmental compliance.

Duties

• Lead/coordinate plant projects, including feasibility, scope development, and execution in a safe, timely, cost-effective manner.
• Work with maintenance and operations to improve plant reliability by addressing failure/downtime areas with projects and equipment upgrades.
• Assist in optimizing planned turnarounds.
• Play a key role in envisioning, strategizing, and developing a go-forward plan for the site's future.
• Play a key role in the PSM program as well as the site safety program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, chemical, mechanical or manufacturing preferred or equivalent education and experience.
• Technical proficiency and expertise in MS Office Suite, including but not limited to PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Project, Access, Outlook, CAD, RCFA, and FMEA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, or on-call duty.
• Potentially working extended hours during plant start-ups, shutdowns, or maintenance periods.
