Position Title: Bilingual Food Safety & Administrative Assistant

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Bilingual Food Safety & Administrative Assistant to support our food safety program and daily farm operations. This individual will work closely with the Food Safety Manager to maintain compliance with all regulatory, customer, and third-party audit requirements, while also providing administrative support across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Safety Support
- Assist with implementation, monitoring, and recordkeeping for the farm's Food Safety Plan
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for audits and regulatory compliance (GAP, PrimusGFS, FSMA, etc.)
- Conduct routine field, packinghouse, and equipment inspections to ensure compliance with food safety protocols
- Assist with employee training in both English and Spanish, ensuring comprehension of food safety policies and procedures
- Help prepare and organize materials for internal and third-party food safety audits
Administrative Support
- Perform general office duties including data entry, filing, scheduling, and record management
- Assist in bilingual communication with seasonal and full-time employees, translating documents and conversations as needed
- Support HR, logistics, and production teams with administrative tasks during peak and off-season periods
- Coordinate with vendors, inspectors, and other external contacts as needed
Qualifications:
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Business Administration, or related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels
- Prior experience in agriculture or food safety is preferred but not required—training will be provided
Working Conditions:
- Mix of office and farm environments, with frequent work in cooling facilities and fields
- Seasonal demands may require extended hours during peak harvest periods and reduced hours during winter months
