BlackCreek Research Inc is a family owned and operated agronomy-based research company located in Oxford County. We conduct trials for over 35 seed, fertilizer and crop protection companies in North America and Europe. We are looking to train new Field Research Assistants to help run our 2026 research program. With this position, you will be taught the use of small plot research equipment used to replicate real life field scenarios. You will learn to grow and harvest a variety of crops ranging from corn, beans and wheat to blueberries, pumpkins, and apples. Your experience at BlackCreek Research Inc will give you access to the latest products and growing techniques that farmers in North America and Europe will be using in years to come. You will have the opportunity to interact with our clients, touring them through plots, and informing them of our latest discoveries.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a post secondary science degree or diploma program
• Skilled with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well with others
• Competency to work with our team to carry out aspects of a research program including trial set up, applications, evaluations and harvesting
• A desire to gain experience in crop/horticulture production in Ontario
• Willingness to be trained in efficacy, tolerance, GLP and confined trials
• Understanding of agricultural practices and farm machinery would be beneficial but not mandatory
• Capable of lifting 40 pounds
• Class G driver’s license
• A sense of humour (or at a minimum, the ability to laugh at our corny jokes)
