This position is responsible for supervising, directing, and organizing greenhouse table moves to facilitate accurate and timely greenhouse space management in the J2 facility.  All efforts are to achieve established objectives for quality, productivity, and operational costs/efficiencies. This position reports directly to the Greenhouse Manager of Jordan 2 Operations. This position requires constant communication with all J2 operations staff. Reporting directly to this position are all general labourers performing table moving functions which will include planting staff, plant spacing staff and plant gathering staff. Major internal contacts include the Assistant Greenhouse Manager, Head Grower, Assistant Growers, Assistant Supervisors, VA team and logistics. 

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and organize greenhouse table moves, based on crop requirements and shipping priorities.  Communicate greenhouse movements to all key stakeholders within the J2 greenhouse using the appropriate means of communication. 
• Oversee and manage all table movements in the J2 greenhouse by coordinating with other Assistant Supervisors and prioritizing the moves for accuracy, staff productivity and efficiency of greenhouse space.
• Ensure the timely and accurate gathering, packing, labelling, and shipping of Jordan 2 Greenhouse products, filled to specified levels within targeted completion dates and acceptable quality parameters.
• Ensure accurate data is recorded and documented in the tracking software, and record and audit greenhouse employees’ accomplishments on all activities (Ridder and Iscan applications).
• Ensure adherence to all Occupational Health and Safety and housekeeping policies and guidelines, accident prevention, employee training, and policy compliance
• Assign duties to Greenhouse staff, overseeing and coordinating daily activities of the greenhouse T-Line team & table moving personnel; this includes training, evaluating and motivating all employees.
• Provide follow-up and feedback on results, respond to and diffuse conflicts between staff when needed, and communicate changes and announcements about schedules and issues in the workplace.
• Manage the assignment and rotation of work responsibilities within the department.
• Support the proper required selection, evaluation, training, development and motivation for all employees under their direction.
• Manage the assignment and rotation of work responsibilities within J2 Greenhouses.
• Ensure all subordinate staff are provided with plant and upgraded products to complete the orders promptly and efficiently.
• Operate Logiqs automation system for safe, competent, and efficient movement of products through the Header House
• Assist others in completing production tasks where required.
• Ensure all cleanup is conducted efficiently before the end-of-day dismissal of employees.

Job Specific Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of greenhouse experience
• one year in a supervisorial/management position
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask
•  Prior knowledge of production scheduling practices
• Working knowledge of basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to influence and adapt to continuous improvement, driving changes within the department and organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with numerous schedule and priority changes.

Other Requirements

• The physical environment requires work inside in hot and humid conditions.
• PPE equipment must be used to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
• Work weekend rotational shifts for Jordan 2 Greenhouse Logiqs and or Irrigation.
• Position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting daily.
• Work under high pressure and pay attention to detail and problem-solving daily.
• Multi-tasking and priority management
