Quality Generalist (IL, IN, MI and MO sites)

 

 

 

As a Quality Generalist, you drive ISO standards, quality assurance, sampling, and Stewardship compliance programs at our Field sites for the East and Central East E2E teams, ensuring alignment with applicable procedures and overseeing the production of quality products. You are accountable for all areas of quality, including product, process, and system quality for field operations while partnering with our plant counter parts.

 

 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

 

  • Be accountable for all areas of quality including product, process, and system quality for field operations;
  • Own manufacturing document control for quality;
  • Ensure Row Crop Production teams prioritize the customer by collaborating with Regional Quality, Manufacturing Excellence, Logistics, and Agronomy teams to ensure key critical parameters are in place to deliver products right the first time;
  • Support complaint management by determining corrective action processes and ensuring follow-up;
  • Measure and report the Cost of Poor-Quality occurrences;
  • Ensure stewardship processes are understood and utilized throughout manufacturing, with reporting as expected;
  • Train departmental and cross-functional disciplines in all aspects of quality;
  • Oversee all lab operations, ensuring processes are executed accurately and operational goals and metrics are met;
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders as the key point of contact for quality-related matters, including best practice sharing;
  • Maintain a Quality Management System on site according to external and internal requirements;
  • Generate Field Quality Management reviews;
  • Ensure specifications/regulations in ISO systems are implemented at the site;
  • Support an effective internal audit program in Field areas;
  • Implement respective global/regional Quality initiatives, programs, and regulations.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

 

 

 

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

 

 

  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Valid Driver's License. Your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company's Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers - MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening;
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. (a bag of seed);
  • Ability to work during days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as business needs require.

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

 

 

  • Minimum of seven years of applicable experience OR a bachelor's degree with at least four years of experience in an applicable area;

 

  • MBA;
  • Ability to prioritize work schedule;
  • Demonstrates some ability to work independently;
  • Ability to support others in completing assigned tasks;
  • Follows policies and procedures;

 

Position can be located at a Bayer Crop Science facility in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan OR Missouri.

 

Posting will be available through June 13, 2025.

 

 

 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $91,794.01 - $137,691.01. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
