PVP Scientist
Position Overview:
As a vital contributor to our team, you will plan and manage PVP trials, ensuring the collection of timely, reliable, and high-quality phenotype characterization data. This data is crucial for successful applications to protect Bayer germplasm through various PVP/IP rights protection systems. You will manage expenses, budgets, and budget forecasting for PVP/IP data collection trials, coordinating with stakeholders to facilitate timely data collection within allocated budgets. Training and developing field crews and other personnel is essential to ensure effective data collection for IP rights filing and registration. Your role includes performing accurate quality control, summarization, and storage of comparative trial data to support IP processes, managing seed movement related to IP workflows, and coordinating efforts with the IP group for timely data delivery needed for IP rights applications. You will drive process and technology improvements, including digital workflows, to enhance data generation and curation. Communication with stakeholders on the status of active phenotype trials, data availability, and data quality is crucial. Your innovative approach will drive the development of new processes and implementation of new technologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness in PVP phenotyping activities.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $96,309.60 - $144,464.40. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
