Internal and External Product Quality Specialist 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Internal and External Production Quality Specialist, are to: 

 

  • Ensure the quality of products manufactured by toller sites for Bayer products meets or exceeds Bayer quality standards;
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers/tollers to ensure quality resulting in the timely release of products and preventing the release of off-spec. materials;
  • Verify and resolve issues regarding product quality and quality processes for all row crop and crop protection products;
  • Work with the Quality Testing organization to develop and certify all analytical testing methods and laboratory procedures at contract manufacturer/toller sites;
  • Develop and manage returned materials due to off-spec quality for all crop protection products;
  • Partner with Stewardship and Compliance teams to develop and implement 3rd party seed producers/tollers quality programs including management of change and new process implementation;
  • Collaborate with Quality Systems and Excellence team to resolve quality complaints, implement corrective actions and preventative actions;
  • Develop and manage process for evaluation and re-certification of shelf life extension program for finished goods and raw materials;
  • Lead training activities with contract manufacturers/tollers on an on- going basis to ensure long-term product quality;
  • Be able to travel required ~20%.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field with at least years’ experience in process and/or data quality management;
  • Demonstrated capabilities in developing and implementing strategies that deliver quantitative business results;
  • Familiarity with ISO, GLP, Quality Control processes, and risk analysis;
  • Knowledge of SAP, GIMS, and Spotfire systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bayer Commercial and Product Supply processes.
