Industrial Cost Controller (Inventories, Facility Management, Insurance) 




The primary responsibilities of this role, Industrial Cost Controller (Inventories, Facility Management, Insurance):


  • Define and implement a structured Monitoring and Controlling approach for Inventory Related Targets and ensure its regular execution;
  • Propose and contribute to Target Setting Monthly Monitoring and Yearly Performance Evaluation;
  • Implement tools and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the analysis and reporting of stocks for the countries and planning organizations;
  • Prepare analyses, reports and decision proposals for senior management in a comprehensive manner and warn the stakeholders if unexpected and significant deviation;
  • Provide relevant KPI’s and information to support Working Capital steering with accurate financial information and indicators;
  • Consolidate all the relevant Working capital financial items managed in FP&A Supply Chain Department (Investment, Inventories, Payables);
  • Support the accounting department on the Consolidation bookings and margin reconciliation with product costing data at group level and legal entity level;
  • Support the accounting Department on the NRV calculation and check with product costing data;
  • Support the ES-global Facility Management in close relationship with all Country Heads;
  • Ensure accurate reporting and support steering of global Facility Management costs while considering Facility requirements and respecting Real Estate Policy;
  • Ensure accurate reporting and planning of Insurance costs to support the Discovery Global structure
  • Steer and follow-up Insurance costs.

Required Qualifications:


  • Master’s Degree with at least five years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10 years of experience in Finance, Engineering, Industrial Costing/Controlling, or Inventory Management
  • Fluent in English;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proactive, ability to work within a complex multicultural environment;
  • Has worked in international roles before;
  • Excellent analytical skills as well as ability to solve problems and to simplify complex tasks;
  • Affinity to Controlling systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP’s, Datalake/ Datawarehouse
  • Knowledge on facility management.
