HEG (Heavy Equipment Group) Operator 

The primary mission of this position is to provide high quality operation skills for pot carriers, loaders, and trucks. This position also provides general maintenance services consistent with the skill and ability of the individual.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Heavy Equipment Group (HEG) Equipment Operator, are to:

• Attain internal certification to operate pot carriers, trucks and loaders.
•  Work as scheduled to operate pot carriers, trucks and loaders.
•  Work as scheduled to assist maintenance work throughout the plant.
•  Assist with shutdown work when scheduled to do so.
•  Understand and implement ESH Compliance requirements relevant to this position to ensure personal safety and the protection of the environment.
•  Perform other responsibilities as assigned by supervision.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED;
• At least one year of experience in industrial operations and/or mechanical and/or electrical maintenance;
• Willing and able to lift 50 pounds up to a height of 3 feet;
• Requires stooping, standing, and walking;
• Must possess good hand/eye coordination and depth perception;
• Must be willing and able to work 12 hour rotating shifts;
• Must successfully pass depth perception and peripheral vision test;
• Must successfully pass a drug screen test and physical.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mobile Mining Equipment experience.

Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate of $30.48.  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
