Financial Specialist Intern 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

• Develop annual operating budget for the site;
• Develop annual product cost rollups for product cost standards, accountable for accuracy, timeliness, and error resolution;
• Analyze cost center spending and value flow (assessments) for consistency with the operational plan;
• Develop periodic cost estimates; Accountable for account reconciliation and communicating significant impacts;
• Collaborate with site leadership and operation teams to ensure drivers of financial impacts are understood;
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure compliance with Capital versus Expense guidelines;
• Conduct analysis and explain changes in individual product standards;
• Develop monthly and quarterly forecasts for Crop Protection sites working with functional leaders;
• Analyze and communicate actual performance against budget and forecast;
• Develop analysis and provide written feedback to site controller for variation against budget and against forecast.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Graduate Degree in Ag Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field;
• Excellent ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels and with individuals from various parts of the organization;
• Motivated, self-starting individual with proven ability prioritize multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
• Ability to commute daily to and from work location in Muscatine, IA;
• Willingness to work in a chemical manufacturing environment. 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $20.00 to $56.80. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant s location, market data/ranges, an applicant s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
