Director of Product Operations  

 

 A Product Operations Leader plays a critical role in ensuring product teams operate efficiently, data is leveraged effectively, and processes are optimized for scalability.  

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

   

 

  • Strategic Execution & Process Optimization: 

 

  • Support the Head of Product in defining and refining product development processes to improve efficiency. 

 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and document workflows for product launches, instrument roadmaps, and go-to-market coordination. 

 

  • Create and manage product dashboards to track key metrics and performance. 

 

  • Standardize tools, frameworks, and methodologies across product teams. 

 

  • Cross-Functional Alignment & Communication: 

 

  • Act as a bridge between product, engineering, customer success, marketing, and sales teams. 

 

  • Improve internal communication of roadmaps, priorities, and product updates as well as communication related to Product Technical Community. 

 

  • Track top product KPIs and report on an agreed upon schedule. 

 

  • Data & Insights Management: 

 

  • Evolve the maturity of data-driven decision-making frameworks for product teams. 

 

  • Work with data teams to establish self-serve analytics for PMs. 

 

  • Improve onboarding, adoption, and retention metrics through operational enhancements. 

 

  • Given that we are a seasonal business, maintain a metrics report calendar and work with PMs on reporting. Examples, we have delivered something for Harvest, but we will need to measure the impact or product market fit of that feature during the harvest of next season.  

 

  • Product Enablement & Training: 

 

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Launch Specialists to ensure that training for customer-facing teams on new product releases is co-created with the PM that owns the product area.  

 

  • Maintain and refine product documentation templates for product teams. 

 

  • Run product demo sessions. 

 

  • Proactively identify and execute product upskilling opportunities by understanding what the team needs and staying current on industry trends. 

 

  • Collaborate across the network of teams to ensure effective cross-functional delivery efficiency. 

 

  • Tooling & Systems Management: 

 

  • Manage and optimize product management tools (e.g., Jira, Roadmunk, Sharepoint, Loops). 

 

  • Continuously improve release management workflows for efficient deployments. 

 

  • As our Product Operations Leader, you will play a key role in optimizing and scaling our product development processes, helping to accelerate the delivery of impactful products that directly enhance customer and employee experiences. 

 

 

 

 

 

WHO YOU ARE 

 

  

 

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: 

 

  

 

Required Qualifications: 

 

  •  8+ years of experience in product operations, product management, or a related operational role in a fast-paced, technology-driven company. 

 

  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies, product development frameworks, and tools (JIRA, Confluence, Trello, etc.). 

 

  • Proven ability to streamline workflows, remove bottlenecks, and implement scalable processes across product teams. 

 

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to drive decisions and improve processes. 

 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams 

 

  • Strong project management skills with an emphasis on driving results and meeting deadlines. 

 

  • Experience in a SaaS or enterprise software environment, particularly within the context of experience management or customer insights. 

 

  • Advanced proficiency in product lifecycle management tools, analytics platforms, and reporting systems. 

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

 

  • Familiarity with digital agriculture products is a plus, or a deep understanding of customer experience and employee experience management. 

 

 

 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between 149776.00 - 224664.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
