YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

As Bayer Crop Science's Digital Farming arm, we deliver sustainable digital solutions using the latest agronomic science, data science, engineering, and real-world farming experience. With groundbreaking technologies like Climate FieldView and our ForGround regenerative agriculture platform, our team is a part of some of the most important advancements in agriculture.  

Digital Farming is looking for an Operations Intern to contribute to the success of the DFS operations team by working with cross-functional teams and actively participating in day-to-day functions. The intern will play a critical role in enhancing efficiency and process improvements across operations and business units by helping expand the use of Power BI, Power Apps, and SharePoint. 

 

The intern will optimize current tools, develop workflows, and implement best practices for leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform. This includes designing dashboards, automating manual processes, and improving collaboration tools to drive operational excellence. The intern will own and drive a challenging and relevant project designed to solve real-time business challenges. The project will focus on delivering measurable improvements in efficiency and productivity using the Power Platform. The operations team works closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure the right tools and processes are in place to meet the needs of the business. 

 

 

WHO YOU ARE 

 

Required qualifications 

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Communications, Mathematics, Information Systems or related field 

  • Ability to collaborate in team settings and work cross-functionally with teams and stakeholders 

  • Experience with Microsoft tools (Power Platform, Office 365, SharePoint, Azure DevOps, Project) 

  • Prior exposure to IT software development in any capacity 

  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and take on tasks outside of their comfort zone 

 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Experience with project management principles, like knowledge of the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge), or familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies 

  • Familiarity with using tools like MS Excel and Jira to track project progress, manage resources, and analyze project data 

  • Comfortable working in both Windows and IOS environments
