Customer Interaction Lead 




The primary responsibilities of this role, Customer Interaction Lead, are to: 


  • Influence and partner with sales leadership to develop strategies;
  • Build alignment and collaboration with Product Supply functions that enable annual and quarterly business targets for Row Crops and Crop Protection while meeting customer expectations;
  • Champion the Regions and customer needs with Product Supply and the Product Supply processes and approaches with the Regions and customers for Row Crop Seeds and Crop Protection;
  • Ensure effective, strategic communication with Region sales leadership, sales teams and customers in coordination with other Regions, Marketing, Product Management, Strategic Accounts, Planning, Distribution and Warehousing;
  • Lead the Customer Interaction team for two sales regions, enabling them to influence and manage the customer relationship regarding sales orders and deliveries, operational business plans, Product Supply processes and support the commercial strategy and programs from sales planning through to delivery, driving profitability and a world class customer experience;
  • Develop strategies and approaches that enable the team to create value- added partnerships with retailers and Seedsman that induce brand loyalty and trust;
  • Enable achievement of business objectives through tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and forecast adherence while effectively influencing behavior to improve both;
  • Continually review and update KPIs to ensure they are accurate measures of success and driving desired behavior;
  • Drive the resolution of Region issues by liaising with relevant internal Functions;
  • Effectively manage team focus and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently, accurately, and according to standard operating procedures with appropriate empowerment to solve customer problems;
  • Drive and enable team to serve as the primary communication contact for assigned customers and resolve any immediately addressable requests;
  • Drive communication flows with customers to obtain feedback on service level and capture ideas for continuous improvement across Row Crop seed and Crop Protection businesses;
  • Drive change management for adoption of new processes, tools, systems for customers, RLTs, and relevant internal functions across Row Crops and CP;
  • Drive continuous improvements in operational efficiency and customer experience;
  • Manage the team, driving a high-performance and people-focused organization to realize the best potential and deliver value;
  • Ensure staff development and training, support hiring, and other people processes.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Agriculture, Engineering or related
  • At least 10 years of experience in Cust Service, Supply Chain, Commercial, professional, or informal consultancy including managing teams or positions with significant influencing roles;
  • Domain knowledge in operations, business, process analysis, strategy development, behavioral influence, change management
  • Key competencies, influencing, customer focus, strategic mindset, results orientation, cross-functional collaboration, agility, conflict management, decision making, strategic communication, critical thinking, change management, Outstanding communicator, organizer, coach, customer relationship management; managing through ambiguity, problem solving.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Engineering or related;
  • Master’s degree.
