Chemical Engineer Co-Op 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

• The application of engineering knowledge to projects within the facility;
• These projects, which will be performed under the guidance and assistance of experienced engineers, have the effect of reducing waste, increasing efficiencies, streamlining process, troubleshooting issues, identifying cost savings and/or updating procedures; 
• This semester long Co-op assignment will take place during the spring of 2026 or fall of 2026.

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• Pursing an undergraduate degree in a Chemical Engineering program;
• Candidates should be in the Junior year of degree program;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Good problem solving skills; 
• High degree of personal initiative;
• Excellent organization and planning skills;
• Ability to work well on a team and in a diverse environment.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $23.20 to $44.20. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant s location, market data/ranges, an applicant s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
