We are seeking a dynamic Product Manager to lead the Carbon Lifecycle IT Platform, aligning its vision and strategy with Bayer's sustainability goals. This position oversees the end-to-end IT product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring the platform effectively supports regenerative agriculture initiatives. You will collaborate with cross functional teams, including engineering, science, operations, design, marketing, and sales, to gather requirements, prioritize features, and align with business objectives.

 

Your responsibilities will include advocating for user-centered IT design principles to create intuitive workflows that enhance user engagement and simplify data management. You will also integrate robust analytics for actionable insights, conduct market research to identify trends and challenges, define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success, and develop training materials to support user adoption and maximize the platform's effectiveness. About Our Team:

We are a small and collaborative team working together to build a great software product. Our team combines a mix of product management, user research, UX/UI design, product marketing and software development expertise. This is a permanent, Canada home-based position.
 

What you will do:

  • Strategic Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the Carbon Lifecycle Platform that aligns with Bayer's eco-systems micro enterprise’s goals and market needs.
  • Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring that the platform effectively supports regenerative agriculture initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, Science, Operations, design, marketing, and sales to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • User Experience: Advocate for user-centered design principles to create intuitive and efficient workflows that simplify data management and enhance user engagement.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Integrate robust analytics capabilities into the platform to provide actionable insights for users, enabling data-driven decision-making in regenerative agriculture programs.
  • Market Research: Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the agricultural sustainability landscape.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the platform and inform ongoing improvements. • Training and Support: Develop training materials and support resources for users to maximize the platform's effectiveness and adoption.

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5/+ years of experience in IT product management, preferably in the agriculture/sustainability projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing software products or platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental impact through innovative solutions.
  • Project Management experience, ideally working in scrum/agile methodologies.
  • It’s an asset to also have a strong understanding of regenerative agriculture practices and greenhouse gas protocols.
  • Experience with workflow automation and data management tools is a plus.
