Baskin Livestock Inc. is currently looking to hire a new Feed Mill Manager to supervise the feed mill and team. We operate two feed mills, including one facility that recycles items from the human food production stream (‘pre-consumer’) diverting it from its previous fate of entering a landfill, and processing the mix into either a high quality bakery meal or a sugar product.

Duties:

• Oversee the production of both bakery & pet food production
• Oversee a production team of around 20 employees
• Manage production workers scheduling
• Manage annual reviews, hiring, and firing for production workers
• Aid production team as needed (loading trucks, unloading trucks, operating the mill)
• Track maintenance issues using CMMS software
• Schedule third party maintenance companies to assist with maintenance
• Schedule inbound van products
• Oversee compliance with OSHA regulations and FISMA requirements
• Assist with capital improvement projects

Qualifications:

• Ability to manage a team of 20
• Ability to effectively communicate with the maintenance and trucking teams
• Experience and knowledge relevant to mill management
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience with skid steers, forklifts, and driving truck would be an asset
• Working knowledge of Spanish would be an asset
