Now hiring! Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate
 

Contract Duration: 4-6 months (Summer 2026)

 

Location: Strathmore, AB 

 

Wage: $ 24 - $31 / Hour 

 

During peak periods in the season, overtime will be paid for evenings or weekends. 

 

We are looking for a Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Strathmore, AB.

As a Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate, you create chemistry by...

  • Conducting field trials for with the local Agronomic Excellence programs group to evaluate canola hybrids, and seed technology and agronomic practices with goal of developing regional, hybrid specific agronomic practices.   
  • Assisting with responsible for field trial activities relating to hybrid evaluation on a commercial scale to small plot trials from seeding to harvest including seed set up, land preparation, seedingplanting, pest control, plot maintenance, harvesting and supervision of casual employees as required.
  • Travelling regularly in your local region for field scouting and you will also be involved in crop health diagnosis through daily monitoring of field and research plots, data collection and analysis. 

 

If you have...

  • Strong agronomic competence attained through pursuing your degree in Agriculture, or another college along with experience in the Agriculture Industry.
  • Ability to deliver results in pursuit of individual and team goals. 
  • Previous experience in agriculture field research is an asset. 
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to be flexible and modify plans as situations arise minimizing impacts on results 
  • Driver's license.
