This position leads and directs the activities of BASF andContract employees for the safe, efficient, and effective execution ofProduction Operations Support and Routine maintenance. This includesmechanical, instrument, electrical, and related processes. This requiresoverall coordination of Maintenance with production, capital investment, healthand safety, ecology, quality assurance, and logistics. As well as the coaching and development of allmaintenance team members.In addition, thisposition will provide the leadership and coordination for the administrationand management of contracts and service agreements related to contractualsupport for the site maintenance activities.Formula for Success
Leadthe development of site maintenance goals, ensure implementation, monitoreffectiveness, and take necessary actions to meet overall business objectives.
Setgoals for staff, consistent with business and department needs, and hold themaccountable for delivering results. Provide coaching and direction to ensurethat they successfully meet individual objectives. Track Team Performance forsuccess (KPIs / Metrics).
Managetalent development and succession planning for staff, including teamdevelopment and building/maintaining an engaged workforce. Coach staff andsupport mutually agreed upon development needs and training opportunities. Conductjob assignments considering developmental opportunities, train and coach soemployees can be successful.
Supportthe development of reliability targets, consistent with business needs, andrecommend necessary actions to achieve committed results.
Ensurethat required capabilities and skills are maintained.
Manage personnelitems including: performance reviews, compensation programs, discipline,conflict resolution, short- and long-term disability, accommodation, consistentenforcement of rules and policies, change management, on-boarding of newemployees, and engage in effective and clear communication.
Ensureall aspects of the maintenance execution work processes are being followed includingnotification, prioritization, planning, scheduling, execution, feedback, andreliability
Managethe work execution of BASF and Contract employees. Ensure work executionproductivity (Time on Tools) and first-time repair quality supporting optimizedmaintenance cost.
Establishand monitor defined area maintenance metrics and KPIs.
Ensurethe application of all safety rules, assuring Maintenance personnel are awareof and employing safe working practices and promoting safety programs andbehaviors.
Providecommunication on status of maintenance activities to appropriate stakeholdersvia reports, and oral and written communications where and when appropriate.
Developand implement the maintenance strategy for Site.
Monitorand help to identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance theoverall maintenance work process and improve cost effectiveness and efficiency.
Defineand deliver the required level of maintenance.
Recognizethe need for and develop outside specialty services contractors.
Understand,champion and implement LEAN activities via role modeling activities, sharingbest practices and holding staff accountable.
Participate within the SLT in setting of plant goals,budgets and objectives and monitoring plant performance to assure continuousimprovement.
Track and manage asset effectiveness and provide regular status reports.
Assure the plant is maintained in a clean, organized and safemanner.
