ContactSupervisor - Erie, PA (1900793) The contact supervisor is: Responsiblefor the development and achievement of department standards regarding thesafety, quality and productivity requirements of the manufacturing departmentsaligned with the departmental, divisional and corporate objectives. Responsiblefor the compliance and enforcement of all safety, environmental, ISO, and plantpolicies and procedures. Assuring thedevelopment and direction of employees through activelycoaching/instructing/training individuals to utilize resources to their fullestpotential. Responsiblefor supporting ZIM & ZLoC (Zero Incident & Loss of ContainmentMindsets), JTE (Journey to Excellence) Program, and RCMS (Responsible CareManagement System)This is 24-houroperation 7 days a week. The hours forthis position may change in the future Responsiblefor identifying and issuing timely disciplinary action for attendance, jobperformance and/or non-compliance with plant/government regulations Supervisorsare directly accountable for the departmental production of quality products ontime and in specification through the efficient utilization of labor, equipmentand material. Responsiblefor assuring employees maintain equipment in proper condition to minimizedowntime or major maintenance repairs. Responsible for input to the development of cost center budgets. Safety - Responsible for promoting a safe workculture through educating, training, establishing standards and following allapplicable company procedures along with consistent follow up ondepartment/employee practices. Recognizes and accepts that the safety performance of their area isfully their responsibility and accountability. Will be responsible forenvironmental awareness and performance (waste reduction, Title V compliance,effluent, etc. and accept the principle that all injuries and releases arepreventable (ZIM & ZLoC- Zero Incident & Loss of Containment Mindsets) Training - Assure employees, (including new hires ortransferees) are trained/oriented in the safety, quality, customer andproductivity standards of their jobs utilizing resources such as Job SafetyPractices (JSP) and Manufacturing Operating Documents (MOD) Manufacturing - Responsible for maintaining theproduction requirements of the department through the planning of order runsincluding verification of material inventories, labor scheduling, specificationtolerances, shipping requirements and shipping date. Basic troubleshooting of mechanical and electricalsystems Productivity - Responsible for the identificationand implementation of on-going reduction of costs associated with productivityprojects. Assure the utilization of aneeds analysis of cost opportunities based on waste, labor, delays, etc., aroot cause analysis of contributing factors, a cost benefit analysis to justifyproject, validated by financial department for cost saving/avoidanceopportunities Costing - Responsible for cost awareness, monitoringand identification of opportunities and control of financial accounts withemphasis on the budget to actual expense variance on direct/indirect labor,materials, equipment preventative maintenance/repair Employee Development - Responsible for thetraining and development of employees in accordance with safety, quality,environmental policies and procedures of the company. HighSchool Diploma required
5years of manufacturing experience is required
1year of industrial machine operation is required
1year of working experience with Microsoft Office software required
Supervisoryexperience in manufacturing is preferred
Chemicalmanufacturing experience preferred
