$1500 Sign-On Bonus!

Starting pay: $29.98 - $33.31 + shift differential

Shift(s) Requirements: The shift schedules includes an 8 hour swing shift on a 7 day rotation. Ability to work any shift, overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice as needed.

Summary:

Selected candidates will report directly to the Waste Treatment Superintendent. The individuals selected will work with and around heaving machinery, chemicals and complete sample testing for department and plant needs.

Specific Job Duties (list not all inclusive):
  • Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by complying with all department and plant safety policies and adheres to all safety and process requirements.
  • Work all normal scheduled shifts and mandatory overtime as required.
    • Schedule to include 7 day rotation requiring weekend work and possibly nights
  • Inform Shift and/or Department Supervision immediately of any hazards, unsafe conditions and/or acts as well as immediate report of any accidents, injuries or near misses.
  • Perform control of hazardous energy tasks such as lock-out/tag out and line breaks by following set procedures on various department equipment and systems
  • Ability to learn, understand and know all product specifications and operating parameters in order to operate all department systems and equipment.
  • Collect samples using manual and automatic samplers, conducts laboratory analysis such as PH, suspended solids, volatile/total solids, COD, set solids, chlorine residual, conductivity and moisture analysis.
  • Record test data and results on record sheets and enter it into the computer.
  • Monitor all DCS screens on a continual basis, responding to all changes or discrepancies in production variables such as temperatures, pressures, flows, tank levels, densities, pH and other process conditions.
  • Manipulates DCS by targeting and making changes to set-points, out-puts, valves, etc. in order to keep various operational conditions within specifications, limits, and parameters.
  • Minor maintenance and regular physical inspection in field of all equipment and as needed.
  • Ability to train and develop at a peer level to help develop department culture
On-the-Job Training Requirements:
  • Complete ADM safety, food safety, quality, and environmental training
  • Participate in company planned operations training
  • Equipment training may include but not limited to JLG, forklift, non-DOT truck, reach lift, etc.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Chemical Treatment or Manufacturing and/or similar military environment (preferred)
  • Detailed oriented and self-motivated
  • Strong safety aptitude
  • Strong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing and verbal communication)
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Ability to move about on a work site by ascending/descending stairs, extensive walking, climbing steps or ladders, prolonged periods of standing and sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, or squatting frequently
  • Ability to operate equipment or machinery that may be located at different heights with open view grating from multiple elevations or in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds overhead
  • Ability to traverse two (2) miles or more during the course of a workday
  • Ambient conditions - Work area is, typically, a non-air-conditioned production environment. Working in in extreme heat and cold in all seasonal elements, both indoors and outside on a regular basis.
  • Atmosphere: May come in contact with Dust (Peanut - known allergen), corn, cotton, canola seed, chemicals and odor
  • Must be able to work around vibrating equipment and noise levels that may reach or exceed 85 decibels and will require use of hearing protection for most of the work shift
  • Employees are required to wear all company provided Personal Protective Equipment (i.e., hard-hats, safety glasses, earplugs, uniforms, and steel-toed boots) in addition to job specific PPE requirements (i.e., fall protection equipment and respirators)
