Exempt Level Position

Position Summary:

ADM is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the safe, efficient, and organized operation of the warehouse. This role involves managing up to 30 employees and ensuring that all shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling processes meet company standards. The Warehouse Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring inventory accuracy, and driving operational efficiency. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Leadership
    • Ensure a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors in all warehouse operations.
    • Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety and enforce compliance with all safety laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Promote a culture of safety by providing tools, training, and resources to the team to minimize risks.
  • Inventory Management and Accuracy
    • Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accurate tracking, storage, and movement of materials.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
    • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Shipping and Receiving Operations
    • Ensure the timely and accurate receipt and shipment of goods in alignment with customer and production needs.
    • Monitor loading and unloading processes to ensure proper handling of materials and compliance with safety standards.
    • Coordinate with transportation teams and carriers to streamline logistics and minimize delays.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Manage warehouse workflows to optimize space utilization, material handling, and overall productivity.
    • Identify and address operational barriers to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Implement strategies to minimize waste and improve resource utilization.
  • Workplace Quality
    • Create a positive and rewarding work environment for all warehouse employees.
    • Ensure compliance with workplace laws and regulations.
    • Take personal responsibility for the comfort and well-being of employees in the warehouse.
  • Employee Development
    • Lead the onboarding, orientation, and training of new warehouse employees.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Collaborate with production, scheduling, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
    • Foster positive working relationships across departments and with external partners.
    • Promote open communication and the free flow of information to address challenges and share ideas.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of warehouse or logistics experience preferred; prior supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required.
  • Safety Commitment: Demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a strong desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures. Previous safety leadership experience (e.g., safety committee participation) is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse equipment is preferred.
