About the Role
We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Plant Utility team member to join our flour milling operation in Midland, Ontario. This is an entry-level opportunity within a large-scale manufacturing facility, offering hands-on experience and a clear path for growth into operational roles.
In this role, you'll support daily plant operations through sanitation, material handling, and basic maintenance while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and workplace safety are maintained.
What You'll Do
• Perform general sanitation and cleaning duties across the facility
• Handle materials and assist with production processes
• Support light maintenance and basic troubleshooting activities
• Follow and uphold GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
• Work safely in a variety of environments (heights, confined spaces, hot/cold/wet conditions)
• Operate in physically demanding conditions, including lifting up to 55 lbs (22 kg)
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient production environment
• Complete all other duties as required to support operations

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills, numeracy, and attention to detail
• Ability to follow safety procedures and food safety protocols
• Physical capability to perform a range of labor-intensive tasks
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in working with machinery
Growth & Development
This role offers opportunities for advancement. Successful candidates will be cross-trained in multiple operational areas and are expected to progress toward an Operator position as business needs evolve.
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous manufacturing or labor experience is considered an asset
