Your Responsibilities

An opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Operations Analyst in the City of London to provide operational support to internal and external stakeholders covering a range of derivatives markets along with LME and FX. Also to help support the running of the department and the development of staff.

The main duties of this role will include:
  • Processing of trade allocations/matching, position reconciliation, regulatory reporting across various derivative exchanges, LME and FX
  • Ensuring that trade flows are compliant with internal ADM rules and exchange regulations
  • Dealing with any BAU tasks trade offsetting, comm adjustments etc.
  • Liaising with various stakeholders/exchanges to ensure any discrepancies are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Monitor all expiring positions, liaise with clients regarding intentions, ensure positions are maintained correctly on physical expiries and that all options have been correctly exercised/assigned
  • Ensure that management/compliance reports are produced in timely fashion
  • To provide support to the rest of the team and help train more junior members
  • Monitor FX trade flows, client/counterparty mapping, entering trades and investigating confirmation mismatches
  • Agree TOPDAY and SPOT FX netting against various banks
  • Monitor collateral and confirm FX margin figures
  • Covering shifts between 7am-9.30pm


Your Profile

The successful candidate will possess the following:


  • Microsoft Office - Intermediate Level
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Futures and Options Market and how they work
  • Working knowledge and experience of EUREX clearing along with a willingness to sit the EUREX clearing exam
    • Minimum of 18 months clearing and general exchange maintenance experience
    • An up to date working knowledge of all exchange clearing platforms utilized by ADMISI
    • Good knowledge of ADM middle office systems
    • Working knowledge and experience of data entry using the GMI system
    • Experience of how other major world Futures and Options Exchanges operate - MATIF, CBOT, CME and NYBOT
  • Industry related qualifications e.g. Financial Services exams, EUREX etc desirable
  • Preferably A level standard Mathematics and English and/or minimum 3 years' experience in trade clearing environment
