Belize Mills Limited is seeking to identify a TRAINEE ASSISTANT MILLER who will provide production plant support to the Operations Department, assisting the Shift Miller in the day-to-day operation of a wheat milling plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducts daily inventory measurement of flour and wheat bins

• Checks the ingredient feeder to ensure that the levels are adequate at all times and that the flow is constant.

• Collects and submits raw material and product samples to Quality Assurance for testing.

• Constantly monitor flour levels in Bins.

• Assists with monitoring the Mills to ensure that the flour is always running.

• Assists with the changing of Sifter Cloth when required

• Assist the Maintenance Department in carrying out minor repair jobs when the department is short-staffed.

• Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Skills:

• A minimum of four (4) CSEC subjects or equivalent qualification.

• At least two (2) years' experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.

• Basic computer literacy.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.

• Strong commitment to safety practices.

• Well-organized, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Willingness to work overtime, shifts, and be on call as required.

• Basic knowledge of ISO, HACCP, GMP, and environmental standards.

• Interest in or appreciation of mechanical processes would be an asset.

• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
