This Trading position plays a key role in driving business growth and profitability through strategy execution, relationship management, and actively pursuing avenues for business growth. This role has Hanoi as a base location, allowing the Trader to be consistently serving the local market while being closely supported by the wider Vietnam and regional Teams.
YOUR PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in agricultural commodities or related industries such as energy, logistics, trading.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (agriculture, business, economics, or finance) is required. Post-graduate degrees (Master's, MBA) are advantageous.
Good understanding of domestic commodity markets including logistics, with a keen interest to learn about global market dynamics.
An extensive network across the agriculture and food industry of Vietnam is advantageous to have.
Proven ability to perform in a team-based work environment with transparent communication flows.
Displaying an ownership mindset with a strong self-initiative and follow through to drive business development progress.
Proficient in written and spoken English.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Commercial and Market Analysis
Trade agricultural commodities such as Grains and Oilseeds into the (North) Vietnamese market based on daily pricing strategies aligned with ADM's and global trade direction.
Manage trading risks such as counterparty, market price, credit risks and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
Identify new business opportunities and value propositions in order to expand the client base and grow the business in a sustainable way.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners in Northern Vietnam.
Collect and share market trends, competitor activities, and economic indicators with the regional teams.
Coordination and Team Work
Coordinate daily with Execution and Trade Admin teams to ensure the timely and efficient execution of contracts.
Proactive follow up of all customer feedback and support continuous improvement of processes.
Address bottlenecks during local distribution such as logistics, warehousing and look for opportunities to optimize ADM's operations in North Vietnam.
