The Role

The Technology Project Manager (TPM) - Carbohydrates EMEA is a key member of the Product Lines and Technical Advisory team. This team is responsible for driving product line efficiency, supporting the pricing strategy process, and guiding product portfolio development. It also provides technical input for the development of new products and applications tailored to customer needs.

The projects managed in this role are primarily linked to ADM's Carbohydrate Solutions (Carbosol) assets and may include externally funded government projects with external partners. These projects are critical to shaping the future of ADM Carbsol and strengthening its market position.

The primary objective of the TPM is to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet the agreed quality and cost expectations. Beyond managing project milestones, the TPM will actively contribute by:

  • Coordinating trials with subcontractors

  • Acting as ADM's representative in consortia and with external consultants

  • Managing all aspects of grant administration, including documentation of payments and expenditures, compliance, progress reporting, and interaction with funding agencies

The TPM's expertise will play a crucial role in securing ongoing funding, supporting strategic growth opportunities, and driving the successful execution of high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, and manage end-to-end delivery of technical projects, from initiation to closure

  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., CAPEX, Procurement, COE) to align on commercial goals and feasibility

  • Ensure alignment on the project plan with the team and key stakeholders

  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear, consistent communication

  • Identify project risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies

  • Track and report progress at agreed intervals to relevant stakeholders

  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards within budget and timelines

  • Establish and execute a clear communication plan across workstreams

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and manage critical interdependencies

  • Oversee and manage third-party suppliers involved in project delivery



Qualifications & Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or Technology, ideally combined with Business Management

  • A Master's in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering, or Sustainability Management, is a strong plus

  • Minimum of 5 years' professional project management experience, with a strong track record of successful delivery

  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent is a plus)

  • Proven organizational, budgeting, and results-oriented skills

  • Strong conceptual thinking combined with a hands-on, practical mindset

  • Experience in international business environments and change management

  • Proficient in MS Office (including MS Project)

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% across EMEA

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French is preferred
