Technical Services Engineer - Hygiene & Contamination Control

About the role
Are you a technically skilled professional with an entrepreneurial mindset? As a Technical Services Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and launching a new service offering within our organization. You will design and implement technical services to support feed mills and oil crush plants in improving hygiene standards and preventing microbiological contamination, such as Salmonella. You will also collaborate closely with our internal laboratory for analytical support.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement a new technical services proposition focused on hygiene and food safety.
Conduct hygiene audits, risk assessments, and contamination scans at customer sites.
Collaborate with the internal laboratory to coordinate sampling and analytical reporting.
Identify and implement tailored contamination control solutions.
Advise customers on regulatory compliance, microbial risk mitigation, and process optimization.
Develop technical training materials and deliver sessions for customers and internal stakeholders.
Track performance metrics and continuously improve the service based on customer feedback and field data.
Required qualifications & experience
Technical degree (HBO or equivalent) in process technology, food technology, or a related field.
Experience in feed or food manufacturing (particularly in production, quality assurance, or technical services).
Proven track record in project management and/or launching new technical services.
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong hands-on problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30-40%).
Preferred skills
Customer-facing experience in a technical support or advisory role.
Understanding of organic acids, antimicrobial technologies, and hygiene protocols.
Ability to work effectively across functions with R&D, Sales, and Regulatory teams.
