Supply Management Specialist - Clinton, IA

Job Summary

Responsible to procure materials, labor, and services for capital projects in a cost effective and timely manner.

Essential Job Functions
  • Collaborate with Skilled Trades, Construction Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers to understand the materials, labor, and services needed to construct their projects.
  • Procure materials, labor, and services for various capital projects using contracted and non-contracted vendors.
  • Prepare and submit purchase requisitions in Maximo and Coupa.
  • Work closely with ADM Global Procurement to maintain compliance with ADM Procurement policies and to issue Purchase Orders in a timely manner.
  • Work with vendors to obtain order acknowledgements and follow up on overdue equipment and materials.
  • Complete Receipts in Coupa for services related to Capital Project purchase requisitions.
  • Facilitate closure of purchase orders to support timely capitalization and closure of projects.
  • Work closely the Regional Capital Project Analyst to capitalize and close capital projects.
  • Create and maintain Purchase Order Tracking sheets for each capital project.
  • Serve as plant liaison with equipment rental companies, coordinating equipment rental, delivery, pickup, and service. Maintain spreadsheet tracking all capital rental equipment.
  • Check contractor compliance within ADM's Contractor Data Management System and Submit Compliance Requests as needed to support Capital Projects.
  • Work to get Capital contractors approved in First Verify and GateFeed.
  • Resolve invoice & accounts payable issues related to Capital Project purchase requisitions.
  • Must be willing to use a desk phone daily to make calls to vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This position is 100% on-site at ADM in Clinton, IA.
  • >95% time at desk; < 5% time on construction sites within the ADM Corn Plant.
Tools/Equipment Used To Perform Job:

  • Personal computer, phone, radio.
Education/Training/Experience:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of total experience.
  • 3+ years of experience obtaining quotes and working with suppliers/vendors.
  • 5+ years of experience using email and Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of construction (experience working with skilled trades preferred).
  • Ability to move throughout the plant.
  • Experience with Maximo and/or Coupa preferred.
