Summer Help Groundskeeper I - Decatur, IL

Seasonal Part Time position

Position Summary

Assists in the maintenance and landscaping duties of the outside grounds of all ADM office locations.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be physically able to stand and walk and climb ladders and stairs.
  • Heavy lifting.
  • Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must successfully pass the Company background investigation
  • Must possess a valid driver's license or be able to lawfully operate a motor vehicle in a work environment.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
Critical and Essential Job Functions
  • Assist on landscape installations, hedge shearing and artistic pruning.
  • Mow, pick up trash, and weed.
  • Operate wide area mower, push mower, weedeater and other equipment.
  • Repair fences, spread mulch
  • Trim trees
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with special events, such as Annual Meeting, Safety Day meetings.
  • Assist with furniture moves as needed

  • Must demonstrate a high degree of timeliness with respect to presence at work, assignments and meetings as well as with respect to the on-time completion of assigned projects.
  • Must demonstrate a clear commitment to safety.

  • Must communicate effectively.
