Stevedoring Shift Lead - ARTCo Stevedoring - Waggaman, LA

This is a full time, hourly level position

Position Summary:
  • ADM is seeking a Shift Lead for stevedoring operations. The position will work a rotating AM/PM shift.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage colleagues in operation of crane to facilitate the stevedoring operation
    • Insure care and housekeeping on crane is being carried out by Stevedores
  • Coordinate with vessel and barge fleets to implement vessel discharge plans
  • Complete forms associated with Shift Lead position and vessel discharges
  • Train colleagues in appropriate responsibilities and tasks
  • Safety:
    • Conduct daily and required safety meetings
    • Safety Work Permit's
    • Insure colleagues are following company standards
    • Review and insure SOP's and Work Instructions are being followed
  • Insure that rig personnel are completing required rig documentation
    • Inventories, inspections, logs
  • Assist in maintain inventory of ARTCo Stevedoring stock and supplies
  • Sufficient computer skills to complete job responsibilities and log submittals
Physical Requirements:
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and Company human performance exam (physical ability test)
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending and climbing stairs/ladders
  • Ability to work near or on large bodies of water, at various heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to climb in and out of hatches
