Your Responsibilities
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate processes for imports and exports in the region
  • Act as ADM's representative to regional Customs Authorities
  • Managing customs audits, refunds and duty exemption requests
  • Accurate registration of customs relevant data in ERP and other systems used by ADM
  • Advising on all customs issues, working with colleagues in other regions and the strategic service organisation
  • Deliver training for colleagues who are not customs specialists
  • Oversight of processes regarding customs brokers
  • Developing internal reporting processes
  • Work with the Regional Managers from the Global CETC team, the supply chain, government relations and logistics organizations
Your Profile
  • 10+ years of working experience gained in customs or Trade Compliance function in industry or mixed with consultancy (big 4 or law office) including 4+ years of managerial experience
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Customs law and export control regulation combined with knowledge to translate Customs rules to operational activities
  • Experienced with SAP/GTS (ideal)
  • Excited to take on a leadership role in a major multinational company that has millions of transactions annually
  • Strategic vision and owner's mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to drive discussions with non-experts
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work under time pressure
