GBS Source-to-Pay (S2P) Operational Excellence Specialist

About the Role:

The GBS Source-to-Pay (S2P) Operational Excellence Specialist will be responsible for leading and coordinating process improvement initiatives within the GBS Source-to-Pay (S2P) team. This role focuses on driving efficiency, standardization, and automation across procurement, supplier enablement, invoice processing, and payment operations. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in process optimization, project management, and stakeholder collaboration.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Process Improvement & Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in the S2P process, analyze root causes, and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects aimed at improving service delivery, automation, and compliance within the S2P function.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure process effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Procurement, Finance, IT, Supplier Enablement) and external partners to align operational improvements with business objectives.
  • Automation & Digitalization: Support the adoption of automation tools and technology solutions to streamline manual processes and improve data accuracy.
  • Standardization & Best Practices: Assist Manager with implementation of standardized procedures, ensuring alignment with global best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Reporting & Insights: Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership through detailed reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or project management within procurement, finance, or shared services.
  • Strong understanding of S2P processes, including procurement, supplier enablement, invoice processing, and payments.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL) and process automation tools (RPA, Coupa, SAP, or similar platforms).
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
