ADM's global Nutrition business is represented by Human Nutrition, Health & Wellness and Animal Nutrition divisions. The Health & Wellness and Animal Nutrition Research teams are present in 4 locations (Spain, North America, France and Switzerland) and focus on developing cutting-edge technological and science-based products.

The successful candidate will report to the Genomic Manager and will be based in Switzerland. The candidate will take a key role within the team, contributing to sequencing workflows and accelerate the discovery and development of innovative and science-based microbiome solutions which will differentiate ADM on the Animal Microbiome markets.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Prepare sequencing libraries for genomic analyses.
  • Extract DNA from various biological samples for microbiome analyses.
  • Organize, prepare, and run sequencing experiments.
  • Report results, propose technical solutions, and actively participate in data analysis to support R&D goals.
  • Monitor consumable stock, optimize lab workflows, and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to enhance lab quality, efficiency, and performance.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation applicable to BSL2 labs and company standards.
Your Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in microbiology, molecular biology, or related fields, or laboratory technician CFC.
  • 3+ years of experience in a genomics lab, preferably in a microbiology settings in a BSL2 environment.
  • Proven expertise in preparing sequencing libraries and DNA extraction techniques.
  • Strong documentation skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated scientific rigor and attention to detail.
  • Experience or interest in microbiome research is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a global, multidisciplinary context.
