Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the strategic management of our aquaculture feed portfolio. This role requires a hands-on, cross-functional leader who will collaborate with a range of internal teams, including Sales, Operations, R&D, and Marketing, to optimize product offerings and ensure the success of our feed solutions in the global market.

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from market analysis to product optimization, with a focus on maintaining alignment with customer needs and business objectives. You will serve as the primary point of contact for key product initiatives and bring product and technical support to our global sales network to ensure successful product application and market positioning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Optimization:
Drive product portfolio optimization and strategic direction, ensuring the right mix of feed products (for shrimp, fish, and probiotics) in line with market demand, trends, and customer needs.

Prioritize product development and improvements, based on market feedback, business goals, and operational capabilities.

Regularly review and analyse product performance to identify areas of opportunity and improvement.
  • Market Feedback & Analysis:
Act as the key liaison between the market and internal teams to collect, analyse, and act on feedback from customers, distributors, and sales teams.

Conduct competitive analysis to understand market trends, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities, ensuring our products are at the forefront of the industry.

Identify and address gaps in the product portfolio to meet evolving market demands.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Sales, Operations, R&D, and Marketing teams to align on product strategies, go-to-market plans, and customer solutions.

Collaborate with the R&D team to ensure the development of new products and enhancements are aligned with market needs.

Support Marketing in the creation of promotional materials, product launch plans, and customer education resources.
  • Sales Enablement & Support:
Provide sales teams with the necessary tools, training, and support to effectively communicate the value propositions of our feed products.

Regularly engage with key accounts and sales teams to gather insights and provide solutions that meet customer requirements.

Assist with the development of pricing strategies, positioning, and product messaging.
  • Product Lifecycle Management:
Oversee the complete lifecycle of products from conception and development to commercialization and ongoing product enhancements.

Manage timelines and milestones for new product launches, ensuring timely execution.
  • Global Market Strategy:
Support the global sales network by tailoring product strategies to specific regions, ensuring consistency while addressing local market needs and regulations.

Monitor and report on the success of products in diverse markets, adjusting strategies as necessary.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Aquaculture, Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in product management, with at least 3-5 years in the aquaculture.
  • Proven track record of portfolio management, market analysis, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver product excellence.
  • Strong understanding of aquaculture feed products, including shrimp and fish species, as well as probiotics and their applications.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in market research and competitive analysis.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment, managing complex product portfolios.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in working with global sales teams and understanding the nuances of regional market requirements.
  • Familiarity with regulatory aspects of aquaculture feed products in various markets.
  • A background in R&D or technical expertise in feed formulation and probiotics would be an asset.
