The Global Trade Disribution Marketing business in Madrid serves customers in the Spanish and Portuguese markets, distributing commodities from 12 different ports.
As a Senior Accountant you will be part of the finance team embedded in the Global Trade business in ADM Agro Ibrica in Madrid. Furthermore, you will play a key role as business partner supporting the Trading and Commercial teams primarily in the Profit and Loss management and control, working closely together with the Execution team.
In addition to the accounting knowledge, the candidate needs to have good data analysis skills including but not limited to Excel, Access, PBI. Knowledge of any other tools will also be valued. Eagerness to learn is required.

What you'll do
Manage and analyze Profit & Loss results, ensuring accuracy and insight for business decisions.
Support month-end closing activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local accounting standards, and internal controls (SOX).
Work closely with Trading and Execution teams to understand costing and market risk impacts.
Perform market risk exposure and inventory valuation analyses (Mark-to-Market, Lower of Cost or Market).
Identify and drive improvements in working capital and process efficiency.
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Act as key contact for the ULTRA system and assist with ERP and reporting tools.
Collaborate on data analysis and reporting using Excel, Access, Power BI, or similar tools.
Contribute to continuous improvement and finance transformation initiatives across ADM Agro Ibrica.
What we're looking for
4+ years of experience in accounting or P&L analysis
Degree in Business Administration or related field
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial instruments (Futures, Forex)
Experience in commodities or trading environments
Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools (Access, Power BI, etc.)
Fluent English (Portuguese is a plus)
